Versatile and ecological
Fibre material can be modified almost into any kind of 3D shape. The moulded pulp is the only equivalent ecological product which enables safe and cost efficient packaging for the double curving and multidimensional objects. The final products are light and durable and their shock absorption capability is extremely good. The fibre packages are recyclable, biodegradable or compostable and also easily disposable. The applications can be customized with different kinds of post-processing and extra features.

Rough or smooth?
The basic difference between rough and smooth fibre packaging production is that for the latter either post-pressing or hot-pressing is being applied as a finishing touch, in which the high quality of the final product is achieved by compressing the product into a smooth and precise shape inside of a two sided mold. The resulting products are slim and yet supportive, smooth surfaced and completely printable.
Extra features according to needs
Customizable extra features according to needs such as water resistance, grease resistance, fireproofing etc. are possible modifications for Ecopulp fibre applications. An exemplary application is a seedling shield Taimitassu, which includes the pre-fertilizer that supports the shields initial growth.

Electronics packaging
The mechanical endurance of the packaging is important for electronics. In securing them various kinds of tests are being used, which most often include pounding, shaking or drop testing. With pounding or shaking tests not much difference is normally obtained between different packaging materials. It has been found with drop testing that the fibre packaging protects the products better than other alternative packaging materials in proportion to the amount of material. The tests showed that aluminum foil together with dehydrating agents held the level of moisture below the critical 50% level, protecting products well from corrosion. With the packages without moisture protective film and dehydrating agents the level of moisture rose above the critical level, but nevertheless only with the products placed inside the fibre based pacakges no corrosion was found. The only corrosion damages were found from products which were placed inside of plastic or protective film packaging without any dehydrating agents.

Transport covers
Disposal of the fibre based covers is non-problematic, since being real natural products they can be e.g. burned, composted or recycled.
Other benefits of the fibre product are e.g.:
- Customer specific shapes and solutions
- Thanks to it's easy to use design - plug and play!
- Shockproof and overwhelming vibration damper
- Avaible with water resistance
- Doesn't shine the coating
- Stackable inside or on top of each other - space efficient!
- Can be applied to automatic lines
- Sends a message of environmentally respectful work
